In its third quarter release, Buhler says overseas tractor sales have declined and will continue to show weakness through the year, but sales of short-line equipment show consistent strength.
Third quarter revenue increased to $76.7 million up 22% more than the prior year of $62.9 million. Revenue for nine months is $227.1 million up 56% from the prior year. Strong demand in North America for agricultural products contributed to the sales increase.
Nine month sales are just short of full year record sales of $232.6 million set in 2002 despite the current economic crisis. Sales are expected to be lower in the fourth quarter.
