Trailer Company Provides Solution to Hauling 120’ Planter

10/19/2009

XL Specialized Trailers, Inc. out of Manchester, Iowa, provided an end to the search by Bauer Built Manufacturing to find a hauling solution for the Bauer-built DB120 John Deere planter. XL Specialized Trailers designed and manufactured the XL Planter Trailer to haul the 120’ long and 48-row DB Planter.

The overall efficiency of the XL Planter Trailer results from its ability to hydraulically raise and lower the flip booster with the push of a lever. The hydraulics in the flip booster allows you to flip the unit so its tires are on the ground or the deck is laying flat on the trailer. This smooth transition occurs when a lever on the side of the trailer is pushed. Although you can order it with more deck length, this hydraulic flip booster works for any application you would use a standard flip axle for. The self-steering, trailing axle provides maneuverability despite its size.

XL has been a leading manufacturer of premium quality, commercial, construction, agriculture, wind and oil energy, and custom style trailers since 1995. XL is a family owned, privately held company.
